Walsh Bros. was established in 1919 as a family-owned small business machine shop in downtown Phoenix. Four brothers from Pennsylvania founded the company, and Walsh Bros. has retained this family ownership to today.
The company expanded to Tucson in 1935 to serve Southern Arizona. In 1939 Walsh Bros. diversified and began selling office furnishings. In 1941 Walsh Bros. became an authorized Steelcase dealership and has maintained this relationship continuously over more than 60 years.
In 1954 Walsh Bros. began offering interior design services and opened a separate division, Office Designs, in 1969. This division supports the sales divisions, architects, and interior designers with product specification documents, site measurements, product inventories, and installation drawings.
The Filing and Storage Systems division was added in 1971, and in 1983, a FACS Records Center was established for document storage, retrieval, pickup, delivery, and the scheduled destruction of outdated records.
The most recent addition to Walsh Bros. services is SnapTracker, an efficient facilities management tool we offer to our customers. We started implementing the SnapTracker asset management program in 1994. This flexible office furnishings software program uses a sophisticated multi-functional database system to help our customers manage their office furniture product inventories.
Today Walsh Bros. is a statewide dealership serving all Arizona communities. Our company is a family- and employee-owned and profit sharing corporation, and we currently have two hundred employees that form the true strength of our company.
